Asher Knight is a 21-year-old singer songwriter from Bradford, UK. Asher discovered his passion for music and singing aged 15, and was initially reluctant to pursue a career in the music industry after suffering from low self-esteem as a child and bad bullying at school. At 16, Asher was introduced to celebrity vocal coach CeCe Sammy, who worked to improve his self-confidence and develop his craft of singing and performing in front of crowds.
Asher moved to London in 2016 to focus fully on his music. He has honed his craft in the capital, and has built an impressive catalogue of songs, working with writing greats including Cuttfather, Mark Owen, Jon Maguire, Olly Murs, James Blunt and producers, Red Triangle, AC Burrell and is signed with distributor BDG/The Orchard ( A division of Sony Music)
Asher has seen great success over the last few years. In 2018, he released his debut single Hurricanes and Tornadoes, which was quickly followed up by pop-infused tracks WHY and Broken. Asher performed these songs to sold-out crowds across the UK whilst on tour supporting Steps and All Saints, as well as during his sets at Fusion Festival and Brighton Pride.
Asher kicked off 2019 by releasing his single Save Me from Myself, a beautiful yet haunting, emotional track, which relates back to the struggles he went through growing up. Asher performed this track, and previous releases, as Boyzone’s main support act on their ‘Thank You & Good Night’ farewell tour. This run of shows saw Asher perform at arenas across the UK and Ireland, setting him up on a great pedestal for the future.
In April 2019, Asher was announced to be the support act for The Vamps, as part of vocal collective The Power of Muzik. To coincide with the tour, Asher announced plans to release his debut EP, entitled Step Back. The title track, written by Take That’s Mark Owen and produced by Red Triangle Productions, talks about the feeling of insecurity, and how it is important to step back and appreciate what you have in your life. The full EP is set for release on 17 May 2019.
Asher Knight has built a strong online fanbase following his busy release and touring schedule. His music has been streamed over 360,000 times on Spotify alone, and he has an online following of over 38,000 people.
